The On-the-Job Training National Emergency Grant Project (OJT/NEG) assists employers with the cost of hiring and training new employees who have been unemployed. It allows employers to hire and train new employees at their place of business, and receive reimbursement for a percentage of the trainees’ wages for up to six months of training.
The reimbursement rate ranges from 50 percent to 90 percent of a trainee’s wages, depending on the size of organization. OJT is available to private companies and non-profit organizations.
