Unauthorized Practice of Immigration Law (UPIL): is a widespread problem in which dishonest individuals falsely disguise themselves as attorneys and charge immigrants hundreds and thousands of dollars for immigration services, forms or by providing them legal advice on their cases. In many Latin American countries, this process is also known as Notario Fraud. In order to prevent and stop UPIL, Attorney General Maura Healey, has launch an educational campaign to talk about the issue and how immigrants and their family can avoid becoming a victim of UPIL.
